A Story in pictures
Hi, I am Aleksey Wowk, the painter. A series of paintings “The Cinderella’s Everydays” is inspired by the works of the outstanding opera singer, our contemporary Cecilia Bartoli. This is my response on a mastery treasures of gifted and talented person that heard and saw. This is an attempt to express the impressive work in the Opera art of Siniora Bartoli with the language of painting.
Obviously, music has always been a great inspiration for artists. Especially classical music, with its rich polyphonic sound, so like the shining wealth shades paintings of masters of painting. I think that classics helps the modern artist learn to feel subtly all the splendor of the colors of the surrounding world. And there’s the place where talent of the performer and interpreter of music is very important.

Late fall 2009, on one rainy November evening, I heard a charming voice, that I have never heard before. Excited and stunned by the unexpected finding, I came to myself with the only desire to take up a brush and paint immediately. But it took some time to recognize the range of the bearer of such a nature’s gift and get to work, the results of which I would like to bring to the attention of the audience.
In my paintings reality interacts with the imagination and excerpts from dreams. Not pretending on the reliability my paintings speak the language of allusions and metaphors, showing in the game, and sometimes in fantastic form describing a person’s life in art, his complete, absolute immersion in the process of creation. All the participants are important here—the great composers and conductors, musicians and performers, music historians and technical staff, and of course the grateful spectators and listeners. They are in an eternal dialogue through space and time, constructive discussion, which helps everyone to discover their own talents.
